The Project

If refurbishment projects are sent to test us then this certainly drove us to insanity and back – but in the end a building worthy of the ever-changing Newcastle skyline. 

Engaged back in 2022 by one of our key clients, Jomast, we were brought in to design, supply and install the full vertical façade to an existing concrete framed building in Jesmond, Newcastle.  With the addition of 2 extra floors and a full side extension, doubling the size of the original building, this certainly brought its own challenges – having to deal with the old and the new!

The project consists of a light weight SFS support structure supporting both aluminium and limestone cladding supported off our very own support grid systems specifically designed to suit the location, substrate and cladding type.

Couple with the integration of all the glazing elements (both fire rated and non-fire rated) along with louvres, soffits, cappings and aluminium flashings a truly iconic structure arises from what was once a city eyesore.

With all the aluminium elements carefully and expertly fabricated by Titan Fabrications in their Middlesbrough base, with our CWCT tested aluminium rainscreen receiving the gold treatment this is most definitely a ‘Titan’ project ‘made in the north east’ and is one to be proud of.

A mixed-use development offering affordable city centre living and commercial units to the ground floor areas the additional of this keystone project to the ‘Jesmond 360’ development will only help to enhance the already desirable Jesmond locale.

The building is due for completion in early 2025.
