Set at the base of Glasgow famous Buchanan Street between St Enoch Square and the river Clyde the 7 storeys, 250 bed Premier Inn development offers affordable city accommodation in a prime location.
Engaged to supply the full wall envelope including SFS, glazing and rainscreen cladding we utilised numerous systems and techniques to deliver a striking façade in a tight city centre location with multiple logistical challengers.
Set over the main tube line acoustic issues proved problematic but with our technical capability’s solutions were developed to achieve both the anti-vibration requirements and the acoustic levels needed for the façade elements to ensure a ‘good night’s sleep’.
Opened to the public late 2020 the Covid pandemic meant a slow start but with ‘staycations’ proving very popular and in the heart of a buzzing city such as Glasgow, no doubt this hotel will be running at full capacity for many years to come.
