Brought in by RG Group to assist in the façade completion new hotel in the heart of the new cultural quarter in Sunderland city regeneration, our stone cladding experience was certainly put to good use.
Combining 2 different coloured sandstones to good effect the uniform layout of the façade is brought to life by the lively stone giving an otherwise flat façade something out of the ordinary. Complimenting some of the older building in the local this new addition sits well within the plaza in which it is set.
Large glazed shopfronts allow the ground floor space to be opened up to local traders while the upper floors contain the hotel rooms and with the glazing surpassing the necessary acoustic requirements and the building overall achieving an exception air tightness result it all bodes well for a good night’s sleep.
Completed in 2022 the hotel will welcome its first occupants early in 2023.
